Hybrid attendance at joint work session

Participating in local government doesn't always have to be in person. Anyone can participate and listen in on what's happening from their computer/phone.

Our city have 15,000 people who are renters but can barely afford their rent. For many Salemites, as much as 50% of their income go towards rent. Homelessness is a major issue, but many in Salem are unable to afford other basic necessities due to the high cost of rent.

As a renter myself, it is critical that when we talk about affordable housing, we also talk about affordable rent. Because everyone deserves a place to call home.

We need to have the perspective of renters when we talk about affordable housing on City Council. #ElectMaiVang
